A Tropical Christmas

Tejsree Beharee.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
Jazz melodies, clinking glassware,
Buzzing voices fill the air.
A dim orange glow, so soft, so hygge,
The aroma of onions and garlic to greet.
Footsteps fading in and out, a gentle art,
A full stomach, a grateful heart.
Wind in my hair, feet in the sand,
Hot, humid afternoons, oh, isn’t it grand?
Honking ice cream vans on the street,
«Delo coco» and «salad confi» to beat.
To the rhythm of «Zubeda» and «li tourner»
Life feels like a tropical chant.
It’s Christmas Eve, the mall’s alive,
Aching feet, but spirits thrive.
Cool air from the AC, a comforting breeze,
The scent of coffee puts the mind at ease.
This year’s top hits on endless play,
Excitement brews for Christmas Day.
Bags to fill, and pockets to spend,
A jolly, sunlit Christmas with no end.
