À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.

I recall the way you’d laugh

cracking dirty medical jokes

that made even pain feel lighter

You lived with the inspiration

of a hardworking brother ,my father ...

and taught us that life begins

where effort and purpose meet

You believed earning was not greed

but grace

a way to fill the voids

and hold your loved ones close

Love, you said, begins at home

in the small kindnesses

to wife, to family

to the ones who raised you

“Serve your parents first”

you’d remind us

“No matter what”

You told me

“Follow your dream job

learn science

let it walk hand in hand with your

beliefs”

And when I stumbled

as teens often do

you never once raised your voice

Only your eyes softened

with quiet care

“Iron” you used to say

“makes you strong

like iron”

And in those words

was the steel

you saw in me

Elegance, for you

was never in bare skin

or borrowed faces

“Beauty is natural” you’d say

“Not what you show

but what you grow”

And you grew so much

Tipap

Not just within yourself

but in all of us

Even in your farewell

you stayed true to yourself

The mourning songs filled the air

but then

we played that one Kishore Da song

the one you had asked for

It rose gently

above our grief

a voice from your youth

carrying you

where we could not follow

We wept

but your memory sang

in every word

and the silence that followed

felt a little less lonely.
