Plumes engagées
I stand

Aneeza Soobad
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
I stand with all those women and girls who have seen their
lives engulfed in the flames of war, the dark smoke billowing
angrily above their heads
I stand with all those women and girls, who have been
mercilessly raped and finished off at the hands of creatures
unworthy of being called humans
I stand with all those women and girls who are silently
suffering, but still manage to wear a smile
I stand with all those women and girls who have painfully
learned how to wield their powers at beating the odds,
every single day of their lives
I stand with all those women and girls whose mental health has been compromised, reducing them to fleeting shadows on
the outskirts of society
I stand with all those women and girls who are fiercely smart
in what they do, but are rarely heard about
I stand with all those women and girls who remain unfazed
in the face of constant adversity
I stand with all those women and girls who are out helping
needy ones get a decent living without any pomp or show And,
I stand with all those women and girls, who are like me,
perfect in our imperfections, playing our humble part, in making
this world a better place to be.
