Le président de la république salue la «noble mission» du nouveau pape
Dharam Gokhool a, dans un message ce vendredi 9 mai, salué l’élection du nouveau pape Léon XIV, en soulignant qu’il endosse ses responsabilités à un moment où « l’humanité est confrontée à plusieurs défis concernant la paix dans le monde, l’unité et l’harmonie ». “On behalf of the people of the Republic of Mauritius and in my personal capacity, I extend my sincere and heartfelt congratulations to His Holiness Robert Francis Prevost on his election as the new Pope Leo XIV.
His Holiness is assuming the sacred responsibilities of the papacy at a time when humanity is confronted with multiple challenges to global peace, unity and harmony.
Prayers and best wishes for a tenure marked by interfaith understanding, compassion, peace, harmony and wisdom. As His Holiness begins his auspicious and noble mission of serving God, may his spiritual leadership inspire us all to unite and uphold the shared values of humanity.
