Plumes engagées
Leo

Vidushi Haulooman.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
Yesterday and the day before, there was a thought.
I thought I knew what I was doing but it led to nought
As I look back to last Christmas.
I remember the view;
The road looking dark blue.
You looked at me as your heartbeats matched the wags of your tail,
And your teeth holding on a leftover bone.
How could I not love you?
You poor thing,
You followed us
I remember the sound;
the loud hit against your ribs,
the screech of the car as you were trailed from here to there.
The scream I let out still plays like a knell to my ear.
Your heartbeats thumping but your tail low on the grey and wet road.
The fear in your eyes and the coldness of your body
Trapped in my mind.
The Christmas lights caught your glistening still eyes.
You were watching us from a moving distance.
I remember them, laying you down the cold earth
With the orange-blue toy I left next to you.
The Christmas lights caught your still glistening eyes.
Were your eyes shining or were you turning into a star?
