Deep inside she knew she didn’t fit
She just couldn’t, like the slender girls keep fit

In the fashion class, she felt among them a misfit
Ended up buying clothes which were a misfit.

After frequent exertion her clothes would tear She would rush to the washroom wiping a tear.

In the dressing room she would face many a remark Bunked classes labelled her journal with a new remark. In the mirror she looked at her teary face
And wondered why such strifes she should face?

From deep inside a voice rose You are such a beautiful rose

Don’t look at yourself from others point of view
Love yourself and you will see life with a new view.

To never judge herself she made a promise
Her next clothing line avered full of promise

Since then her favourite designs she started to sport
And in her new life allowed no one to be a spoilsport.

A Doctor by profession, she harbours a keen interest in creative writing. She is passionate about writing poems and short stories as a hobby and her writings have gleaned several recognitions and awards on international platforms. She is a published author of a collection of poems titled “Of Whispers and Bridges”.
