Plumes engagées
An ode to microaggressions
Mother Gousse.
-What does she mean?
Please just ask her!
She won’t bite, promise,
She had lunch earlier.
-Is she on her period?
No, You’re just a twat.
If you think that’s odd,
Then leave it at that.
-But She just said «twat»
Yes, because she can.
And why can’t you do that?
Well, because you’re a man!
-How inelegant, how unladylike!
How oversensitive of you,
Please, take a hike.
-Now, she’s hysterical?
But wouldn’t you be too,
If a scientific label
Would dictate everything you do?
Oh, but it does,
And you are too!
Imagine a world.
Devoid of senseless construct,
Free to be who we are,
More than the sum of our private parts,
How attuned and on-par!
Bio
Mother Gousse is the offspring of generations of persecuted witches and bitches throughout history. Her mission in this life is to end generational trauma. She womansplains everything in small words and fun little ditties to toxic males.
