Airport developments: New terminal ready for take-off
There was a whiff of pride in the air as the SSR International Airport’s new terminal, which required an investment of US$305 million (Rs9.4 billion), was officially inaugurated by the prime minister on Friday. The terminal will make the island capable of receiving twice as many air travellers, the ultimate goal being to have four million travellers passing through Mauritius by plane per year.
