Sedley Richard Assonne

Auteur de plus d’une trentaine d’ouvrages, il a été lauréat du prix littéraire Ledikasyon Pu Travayer en 1998 avec son polar «Robis», du prix Grand Océan, section créolophone en 1999 à La Réunion avec «Pu poezi zame disparet» et du prix Jean Fanchette-poésie en 2003 avec «La poésie contre la guerre». Sa pièce de théâtre «The invisible man» a été jouée à Indianapolis, aux États-Unis en 2015 lors du «Indy Fringe Festival». Il est aussi parolier et auteur des chansons «Le Morne» (Cassiya), «Mahébourg» (Zulu), «Makalapo» (Sandra Mayotte) et «Santiman» (Bruno Mooken), et a fondé BazEkri20 en 2022, un espace culturel à Quatre-Bornes.
