Le speaker réagit sur la suspension de Rajesh Bhagwan
Le speaker a réagi à la suspension de Rajesh Bhagwan suite à la publication d’un article dans l’express d’hier intitulé «La sanction contre Rajesh Bhagwan considérée comme injustifiée».
Shakeel Mohamed, l’un des interlocuteurs cités dans l’article, a déclaré que l’interprétation des standing orders par le speaker, Sooroojdev Phokeer, est erronée.
Ce dernier a expliqué avoir suspendu Rajesh Bhagwan en réaction à son comportement. «In the light of the reaction of the Hon. Member and considering that this amounted to a grossly disorderly conduct and to disregarding the authority of the Chair, I took the decision to name him under Standing Order 49(4) and there was no need to proceed under the National Assembly (Privileges, Immunities and Powers) Act as grossly disorderly conduct occurred in the House itself», a-t-il déclaré.
