The mid- life boat
mermaid- sings
sweet, colourful
wisdom- delights,
No mistake- yells,
No regrets dramatized,
No euphoric spells;
Insomniac nights,
Weight- up and down,
Meal- skips,
All drown- rust in vain -basket.
In the poise,
A bright flower
waltzes simply
with elegance
of sweet,
carefree,
experienced
unchained humour.

Vatsala Radhakeesoon
She has been writing poems for more than 30 years and she is the author of numerous poetry books. She is also basically into abstract art since 2019 but always opens to experiment with various styles of painting. She considers writing as her first love and Visual Art as her healer in all circumstances of life. She is also a literary translator.
